I have been working on drawing a drawing curriculum for the 6th graders. It is pretty amazing because it goes through many categories in order to teach them to draw. This lesson I decided to begin with value. We practiced seeing value by making a value scale, and then we practiced blending with values. I created a simple worksheet for them to just practice on their shading.

After practicing shading we practiced making different types of textures. We used texture as shading and looked at direction of hair as well as how to create an illusion of real texture.
